Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 2025Ploj AB (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the mobile application Ploj (“the App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you may not use the App.1. Purpose of the App
Ploj is designed to encourage healthier relationships with technology. Children earn screen time by completing activities and challenges within the App.2. Eligibility and Accounts
Only a parent or legal guardian (“Parent”) may create the main account.
The Parent is responsible for creating and managing child profiles.
The Parent remains fully responsible for supervising the child’s use of the App and its features.
All account information must be accurate and up-to-date.
3. Subscription and Payments
Ploj is free for the first 30 days.
After the trial, continued access requires a subscription.
Subscription fees are billed monthly and may change over time.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Payments are processed securely through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms.
4. User-Generated Content
Some challenges may require children to upload proof (e.g., a photo).
Such content is visible only to the Parent linked to the child’s profile.
By submitting content, you grant Ploj AB a limited license to store and display it for App functionality.
We may remove content that violates these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:Use the App for unlawful purposes.
Interfere with or disrupt the App’s operation.
Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on third-party rights.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights to the App, its design, content, and features belong to Ploj AB. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App according to these Terms.7. Privacy and Data Protection
Parents may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting [email protected]We process personal data in line with GDPR and applicable laws.Data collected may include account information, child profiles, challenge results, and limited user-generated content.Data is used solely to provide and improve the App’s services.We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2025Ploj AB (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Ploj mobile application (“the App”).1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve the App:Parent Account Information
– Parent’s name, email address, login credentials.
Child Profiles
– Information entered by the Parent (child’s first name or nickname, profile picture, challenge progress).
User-Generated Content
– Photos, notes or other material uploaded by the Parent as proof of completed challenges (visible only to the Parent who uploaded it).
Usage & Technical Data
– App interactions, device type, operating system, language, crash logs and analytics (to improve stability).
Payment & Subscription Data
– Subscription status and billing details handled securely by Apple App Store or Google Play.
– We do not store or process credit card numbers ourselves.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:Provide and maintain the App’s core functionality.
Enable Parents to create and manage child profiles.
Track challenge participation and earned screen time.
Send important notices, support responses and App updates.
Improve, test and develop new features.
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use children’s data for marketing or advertising purposes.3. Legal Basis Under GDPR
Depending on the situation, we process your data on one or more of the following bases:Performance of a contract (to provide the App).
Consent (when you upload photos or notes or opt into marketing emails).
Legitimate interest (basic analytics, security, App improvement).
Legal obligations (accounting, tax, safety).
4. Data Sharing and Processors
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with:Service Providers / Processors who help us host servers, deliver emails, provide analytics, and process payments. These providers act under our instructions and are bound by data-processing agreements.
Legal Authorities if required by law or court order.
Business Transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We will provide a current list of processors upon request ([email protected]).5. International users
Although Ploj AB is based in Sweden, the App may be used globally. Whenever data leaves the EU/EEA, we ensure adequate protection through:Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or
Other legally recognised safeguards.
6. Data Retention
Active Accounts: We retain account and profile data as long as your account is active.
Inactive Accounts: We delete or anonymise personal data after 24 months of inactivity (or sooner if requested).
User-Generated Content: Deleted immediately when the Parent deletes it or within 30 days after account deletion.
You may request full deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].7. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
Limited access based on role.
Regular security testing and monitoring.
8. Children’s Privacy
Ploj is designed for children to use under parental supervision.
Only Parents/Legal Guardians may create accounts; children cannot register independently.
All challenge-related uploads are restricted to the Parent account and are not shared with third parties.
U.S. Users: We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We collect personal information from children only through their Parent’s verified account and use it solely to provide the App’s functions. Parents may review and delete their child’s information at any time.9. Tracking Technologies
The App itself does not use browser cookies. However, like most mobile applications, it may use similar technologies to ensure the App functions correctly and to improve your experience. These can include:Local storage on your device (to keep you signed in or store preferences).
Analytics SDKs (to understand how features are used and to improve performance).
Device identifiers (such as the device’s operating system ID) used only as necessary for the App to operate or to comply with the App Store / Google Play policies.
We do not use these technologies for advertising or profiling without your consent. If we ever introduce optional analytics or advertising features that require consent, we will ask you first.You can manage or reset permissions in your device settings at any time.10. Your Rights Under GDPR (and other applicable laws)
You have the right to:Access the data we hold about you.
Correct inaccuracies.
Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”).
Object to certain processing or withdraw consent.
Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format).
Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
