How does Ploj work?
Updated 28 September 2026
Ploj is a family app that makes movement the thing that balances screen time — so gaming, streaming and scrolling settle around an active day instead of taking it over. Here's the whole idea in a minute.
The loop
Movement grows the timer: running, playing outside, completing challenges, moving indoors — real activity adds available screen time. Using the apps you choose — games, streaming, social — counts it down. When the timer reaches zero, those entertainment apps pause until your child gets moving again.
What parents control
You set the rules and approve activity. You choose which apps count against the timer and dial in exactly how much movement unlocks how much screen time. Each child gets their own profile, colour and mascot, and you can see movement and screen time by day, week and month.
After setup, the balance runs itself — you're not nagging or watching a clock.
Frequently asked questions
